SWISH Fellows Attendance Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria and Scholarship Application

Fellows can apply for full-attendance scholarships that cover registration, hotel accommodations, and travel expenses. Attendance Scholarships are limited to maintain an intimate environment that fosters interactive learning and mentor-based training.


Candidates must complete and submit their application with supporting documentation to be considered. The Course organizers will review completed applications on a first-come, first-served basis and issue a decision after the review. Accepted Scholarship applicants will receive an acceptance letter that includes important information about their confirmed registration, travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, and, if applicable, instructions for submitting a case for the Fellows Case Competition.


 *Please review the information below on the qualifying applicant criteria before completing and submitting your Scholarship Application. Selected applicants must attend all assigned sessions and activities.

Scholarships include:

  • Registration for the SWISH Fellows Summit on December 4, 2026, and the SWISH Main Conference on December 5, 2026. Selected applicants must attend all assigned sessions and activities. 
  • Hotel accommodations on Thursday, December 3, 2026, and Friday, December 4, 2026.
  • Travel expense reimbursement.
  • Participation in the Fellows Case Competition

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Fellows who are currently enrolled or entering a Fellowship Program (Interventional Cardiology, Advanced Interventional Program (CHIP, structural, endovascular, research), Cardiovascular/General Cardiology Program, or Cardiac Surgery Program). Applications are limited to Fellows serving their Fellowship in North America.

Accepted Application Notification

  • Accepted scholarship applicants will receive an acceptance letter via email that includes important information about their confirmed Summit registration, travel arrangements, and hotel accommodations.
  • Case Competition Participation *Optional
  • Scholarship recipients are encouraged to submit a unique case to the Case Competition that focuses on a complex procedure, complication management, or an advanced or novel technique in structural heart intervention. The Program Committee will judge the submissions, and the authors of the three best cases will present their work at the Case Competition Session. The overall winner will receive a $1,000 honorarium and a commemorative plaque, and each runner-up will receive a $500 honorarium.
  • *While not required, entering a Case in the Competition is encouraged. Cases may be submitted with the Scholarship Application or separately. 

Scholarship Waitlist

Once the maximum number of Scholarships is reached, applicants will be placed on a waitlist. Once a waitlist is formed, qualified applicants will be moved to a Scholarship recipient list as openings become available. The waitlist will be ordered by the order in which applications are received.

Travel, Accommodations, and Reimbursement

  • The organizer, MediaSphere Medical, will reimburse coach airfare up to $500 USD upon submission of required documentation and reimbursable airport transportation.
  • Scholarship recipients who choose to drive to the Summit will be reimbursed for car mileage (at the prevailing government rate).

These expenses are reimbursable:

  • Uber/Lyft/Taxi from the Airport to the Conference
  • Uber/Lyft/Taxi from the Conference to the Airport
    *Black Service/Uber XL is not reimbursable
  • Mileage rate should you drive to the event
  • Parking at the Hotel if you drive to the event
  • Scholarship recipients should not book travel before receiving an acceptance notification. If accepted for a scholarship, detailed travel and hotel booking instructions will be provided, and hotel reservations will be made on their behalf at the Phoenician.
  • Scholarship applicants who are accepted will not have their registration confirmed until they make travel reservations by the deadline stated in the acceptance letter.
  • Scholarship recipients must attend all Conference sessions and activities to be eligible for reimbursement.
  • Reimbursements, if applicable, will be processed within 4 weeks of the Conference's completion.
  • Upon acceptance, scholarship recipients will receive additional details regarding expense reimbursement.

Hotel Room Reservations

  • MediaSphere will book and pay for 2 nights hotel (room and tax only) on Thursday, December 3, 2026, and Friday, December 4, 2026.
  • Scholarship recipients should not book their hotel rooms independently, and MediaSphere will not cover or reimburse reservations made directly.
  • Scholarship recipients must provide a credit card upon arrival to guarantee hotel booking.
  • Cancellation Charge: The hotel will not charge any scholarship recipient who, in writing, cancels attendance at the Conference up to 3 days before their scheduled arrival date. However, if a cancellation occurs less than 3 days before the expected arrival, a one-night room and tax fee will be charged and will not be reimbursed.

Non-reimbursable expenses:

  • Local transportation
  • Meals outside of the course functions
  • Guests' travel and expenses
  • Extra-person charges at the hotel
  • Cancellation fees imposed by the hotel or airline
  • Miscellaneous expenses
  • Cancellation Policy
  • Scholarship recipients will be required to submit a cancellation request immediately.
  • Scholarship recipients will not be reimbursed for any expenses—including transportation and hotel cancellation fees—if attendance is canceled.
  • Scholarship recipients must cancel hotel reservations by contacting MediaSphere Medical, or they will be invoiced for a one-night room and tax fee if not canceled at least 3 days before the Conference.
